Navigating the Tax Module

Find your way around Officaid's Tax module with this guide to filters, submission lists, and action buttons.

Find your way around tax submissions

The Tax module packs a lot of functionality into a clean, organised interface. Whether you're generating new submissions, reviewing existing records, or submitting to IRAS, everything is accessible from a single dashboard. This guide walks you through each element so you can work efficiently when tax season arrives.

Accessing the Tax Module

Navigate to Team → Tax from the main menu. The Tax Submissions page opens, displaying your existing tax records and controls for creating new ones.

If this is your first time using the module or you haven't generated any submissions yet, you'll see a message indicating "No submissions found" with a note that tax data will be generated from payslip records.

Filter Controls

At the top of the page, filter controls help you narrow down the submissions displayed:

Year filters submissions by Year of Assessment. Select the year you want to view, such as 2026 for income earned in 2025. This dropdown defaults to the current Year of Assessment.

Status filters by submission status. Choose All to see everything, or filter to show only Draft or Submitted records. This helps you quickly identify which submissions still need attention.

After selecting your filters, click Apply to update the list. Click Reset to clear all filters and return to the default view.

The Submissions List

The main area displays a list of all tax submissions matching your filters. Each row represents one employee's tax submission and shows key information at a glance:

Employee shows the employee's name and employee ID. This helps you quickly identify whose record you're looking at.

ID No displays the employee's identification number (NRIC or FIN), which is required for tax submissions.

Period shows the date range covered by the submission, along with the Submission Type (O for Original, A for Amendment, R for Revised).

Total Income displays the total employment income reported for that employee. This gives you a quick reference to verify the figures look reasonable.

Status indicates whether the submission is in Draft (not yet submitted) or Submitted (sent to IRAS). Submitted records also show the submission date.

Actions provides quick access to edit or delete the submission using the pencil and trash icons.

Search Function

Use the Search box to find specific employees by name. This is helpful when you have many submissions and need to locate a particular record quickly.

Action Buttons

Several action buttons appear in the top-right area of the page:

Give Feedback opens a channel to share your thoughts on the Tax module with the Officaid team.

+ Generate From Payslips is the primary action for creating new tax submissions. This opens a panel where you select the year, date range, and submission type, then load employee payslips to generate submissions.

Download exports the current list of submissions to a file for your records or offline review.

Submission Action Buttons

When you have submissions in the list, additional buttons become available:

Login With API appears before you've authenticated with CorpPass. Clicking this initiates the CorpPass login flow to authorise Officaid to submit on your behalf. After successful authentication, this button changes to Submit To IRAS.

Submit To IRAS appears after CorpPass authentication. Select the submissions you want to file using the checkboxes, then click this button to send them to IRAS via API.

Mark As Submitted is for employers who submit manually through myTax Portal. Select the relevant submissions and click this button to record that they've been filed, updating their status without using the API.

Selecting Multiple Submissions

Use the checkboxes on the left side of each row to select individual submissions. The Select All checkbox at the top selects all visible submissions at once. The counter above the list shows how many submissions are currently selected.

Selecting submissions enables bulk actions like submitting multiple records to IRAS or marking several as submitted simultaneously.

Frequently Asked Questions

This means you haven't generated any tax submissions yet for the selected Year of Assessment. Click + Generate From Payslips to create submissions from your payroll data.

Use the Status filter and select Draft to show only submissions that haven't been sent to IRAS yet. These are the records that still need your attention.

Successfully submitted records show a Submitted status badge along with the submission date. You'll also receive an acknowledgement from IRAS confirming receipt.
