Managing Dashboard Alerts

Stay on top of overdue items with Officaid's intelligent alert system that keeps your priorities visible.

Never Miss What Matters

Overdue tasks, forgotten follow-ups, and unpaid invoices can quietly pile up when you're busy running a business. Officaid's alert system watches for these situations and brings them to your attention the moment you open your dashboard. No more guessing what fell through the cracks.

How Alerts Work

Officaid continuously monitors your data for items that need attention. When something becomes overdue or requires action, an alert card appears at the top of your Insights dashboard. These alerts are designed to be impossible to miss, appearing in colored cards with clear descriptions of what needs your attention.

Alerts are generated automatically based on dates and statuses in your records. You don't need to set them up manually.

Types of Alerts

The dashboard can display several types of alerts:

  • Tasks Are Overdue indicates incomplete tasks past their due dates
  • Deal Actions Are Overdue shows scheduled deal activities that weren't completed on time
  • Bills Are Overdue highlights unpaid payables past their due dates
  • Invoices Are Overdue flags customer invoices that haven't been paid

Each alert card shows the count of items, the total value if applicable, and how long the oldest item has been overdue. This gives you immediate context about the severity of the situation.

Alert Actions

Every alert card has three action icons on the right side:

  1. View (eye icon) takes you to the relevant module filtered to show the overdue items
  2. Snooze (clock icon) lets you temporarily hide the alert and be reminded later
  3. Dismiss (X icon) removes the alert from your dashboard

Viewing Overdue Items

Click the eye icon or anywhere on the alert card to navigate directly to the affected records. For example, clicking "11 Invoices Are Overdue" takes you to the Invoices section with a filter applied to show only overdue invoices. From there, you can take action on each item.

Snoozing Alerts

Sometimes you're aware of an overdue item but can't address it immediately. Instead of dismissing the alert entirely, you can snooze it. Click the clock icon to open the snooze options:

  • Later Today brings the alert back later in the current day
  • Tomorrow shows the alert again the next day
  • Next Week delays the alert for one week

Snoozing is useful when you need to focus on other priorities but don't want to forget about the overdue item.

Dismissing Alerts

Click the X icon to dismiss an alert. This removes it from your dashboard without snoozing. Use this when you've addressed the underlying issue or when the alert is no longer relevant.

Dismissing an alert doesn't resolve the underlying issue. The overdue tasks or invoices still exist. If conditions change and new items become overdue, a new alert will appear.

Alert Timestamps

Each alert card shows when it was generated, such as "27 Days Ago." This timestamp indicates how long the alert has been present on your dashboard, helping you understand which issues have been pending the longest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Alerts for financial items like bills and invoices show the total overdue amount. Alerts for tasks and deal activities show counts only, since these don't have monetary values.

Yes. Snoozed alerts reappear at the scheduled time. If you snoozed until tomorrow, the alert will be visible when you next log in after that time.

Snoozing hides the alert temporarily and brings it back at a scheduled time. Dismissing removes the alert until new items become overdue. Use snooze when you want a reminder; use dismiss when you've addressed the issue.
