See Your Pipeline at a Glance
Knowing where your deals stand is essential for forecasting revenue and allocating your sales efforts. The Sales section of your Insights dashboard shows your closed deals, ongoing pipeline, and upcoming activities so you can focus on moving deals forward.
Closed Deals
The left panel displays your closed deals over the last 365 days. This section shows:
- Time period indicating the rolling 365-day window
- Won count the number of deals you've won
- Total value the combined value of won deals
- Win/Loss chart a donut chart showing the proportion of won versus lost deals
The chart provides visual context for your win rate. A mostly green chart indicates strong conversion, while significant purple shows deals that didn't close successfully.
Ongoing Deals
The center panel shows your current pipeline. At the top, you'll see:
- Total deals the count of active deals
- Estimated value the combined value of all ongoing deals
Below this summary, a horizontal bar chart breaks down deals by pipeline stage:
- Qualified leads that have been qualified as opportunities
- Contacted prospects you've reached out to
- Meeting Scheduled deals with upcoming meetings
- Proposal Made deals where you've sent a proposal or quotation
- Negotiating deals in active negotiation
Each bar shows the estimated value at that stage. This helps you see where your pipeline value is concentrated and identify stages that may need attention.
Upcoming Deal Activities
The right panel lists scheduled activities for your deals. Each activity shows:
- Activity type represented by an icon (message, email, call)
- Status badge indicating if it's upcoming or overdue (with days)
- Deal name the associated deal
- Activity title what needs to happen
- Date when it's scheduled
- Assigned user who is responsible
Overdue activities appear with a red badge showing how many days past due they are. Click on any activity to open a panel where you can update, complete, or reschedule it.
How Sales Insights Help
The Sales section answers key questions at a glance:
- How much have we closed this year? Check the Closed Deals panel
- What's our current pipeline worth? See the Ongoing Deals total
- Where are deals getting stuck? Look at the stage distribution
- What sales activities need attention? Review the upcoming and overdue activities
Clicking Into Details
The Sales section is interactive:
- Click on the Closed Deals panel to view your won and lost deals
- Click on the Ongoing Deals panel to see your full pipeline
- Click on any activity to open the deal details page
When you click an activity, the View button takes you to the Deal Details page where you can see the full deal history, quotations, and take further action.
Frequently Asked Questions
A closed deal is one marked as either Won or Lost in the Pipeline module. Deals that are still in progress appear in the Ongoing Deals section.
Values shown are the deal amounts entered in each deal record. The asterisk noting "Estimated" indicates these are projections based on deal data, not confirmed revenue.
The Sales section appears only if you have access to the Sales module. Contact your administrator in Admin → Access to request access.
