Adding wages paid before Officaid this year

Started payroll in Officaid mid-year? Add the CPF wages paid earlier in the year so the Additional Wage ceiling is right.

Starting payroll in Officaid mid-year

If your company moved its payroll to Officaid part way through the year, Officaid does not know the wages your previous payroll paid in the earlier months. Add them once per employee, so Officaid can work out the CPF Additional Wage (AW) ceiling correctly.

Why it matters

Officaid works out the AW ceiling the CPF Board way: 102,000 minus the year's Ordinary Wages subject to CPF (the earlier months, this month and the rest of the year at the current salary). Without this entry, the months before Officaid count as months with no wages, and the AW ceiling comes out too high.

Who it applies to

The section is shown only for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who worked for your company this year before their first payslip in Officaid. It is not shown for Employment Pass or S Pass holders.

How to add the wages paid before

  1. 1 Go to Team → Directory and open the employee.
  2. 2 On the Salary Progress card, click Started payroll in Officaid this year? Add the wages paid before.
  3. 3 In Paid outside Officaid up to, choose the last month your previous payroll paid.
  4. 4 Enter Ordinary Wages subject to CPF for those months, taken from your previous payroll's reports.
  5. 5 Enter Additional Wages subject to CPF for those months.
  6. 6 Click Save.

The card now shows the figures you entered. Click Edit to change them, or Remove to clear them.

The AW ceiling is per employer. Enter only the wages your company paid this year, never wages from an employee's previous employer.
Ordinary Wages subject to CPF for those months cannot be more than the monthly ceiling for each month. For 9 months that is 72,000.00. A higher figure is refused with the message "Ordinary Wages subject to CPF for these months cannot be more than 72,000.00 (the monthly ceiling for each month)."
