Meet your statutory obligations with ease
In Singapore, employers contribute to the Central Provident Fund (CPF) for employees who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents. CPF submission is the process of reporting and paying these contributions to the CPF Board. Officaid helps you manage this process efficiently.
What is CPF?
The Central Provident Fund is Singapore's mandatory social security savings scheme. Contributions go into accounts that employees can use for retirement, healthcare, and housing. Both employers and employees contribute a percentage of the employee's wages each month.
Employer Obligations
As an employer in Singapore, CPF obligations include:
- Calculating Contributions based on employee wages, age, and residency status.
- Deducting Employee Share from their salary before payment.
- Adding Employer Share on top of the employee's contribution.
- Submitting Total Contributions to CPF Board by the deadline.
- Paying the Amount via your chosen payment method.
Ways to Submit CPF
There are several ways to submit CPF contributions:
- CPF Portal where you can upload contribution files or enter details manually.
- Direct API Submission through approved payroll software like Officaid submits contributions directly without separate portal login.
- GIRO can be set up for automatic deduction from your bank account.
CPF Submission Number
Each CPF submission requires a unique submission number in the format: UEN-Type-Sequence (e.g., 201234567A-PTE-01). This number identifies your submission and helps track payment status. You can find your submission number format in your CPF portal.
How Officaid Simplifies CPF Submission
Officaid offers two ways to handle CPF:
- Generate CPF File to download and upload manually to the CPF portal.
- Submit via API to send contributions directly to CPF Board without leaving Officaid.
Both methods automatically calculate contributions based on employee details, so you do not need to look up rates or do manual calculations.
