Enabling Reconciliation on your Account

Turn on reconciliation for your business accounts in Officaid and unlock the tools to match your records.

Get your account ready for reconciliation

Before you can start reconciling, you need to enable reconciliation on your account. This is a simple toggle that unlocks the tools you need to match your records with your bank statements.

Reconciliation is only available for business accounts. If you have not created an account yet, see Adding a Bank, Credit Card, or Cash Account.

How to Enable Reconciliation

  1. 1 Go to Finance → Accounts and click on the account you want to enable
  2. 2 Click Edit Account from the Quick Actions
  3. 3 Make sure Business Account is toggled on
  4. 4 Toggle on Enable Reconciliation
  5. 5 Click Save to apply your changes

Once enabled, your account will display two additional tabs: Reconcile and Transactions.

What Gets Unlocked

When reconciliation is enabled, you gain access to:

  • Reconcile tab - Compare your Officaid balance with your bank statement balance and match transactions
  • Transactions tab - View all transactions linked to this account, upload bank statements, and see reconciliation status
  • Upload Transactions - Import your bank statements to start matching records
You can enable or disable reconciliation at any time. Disabling it will hide the Reconcile and Transactions tabs, but your data will not be lost.

Why Enable Reconciliation?

Enabling reconciliation allows you to:

  • Upload bank statements and match them with your recorded transactions
  • Quickly identify discrepancies between your records and your bank
  • Keep your financial records accurate and audit-ready

If you are managing business finances, reconciliation helps ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
