Navigating the Interactions Dashboard

Learn how to use the Interactions dashboard in Officaid to monitor engagement and prioritize outreach.

Your daily guide to relationship management

The Interactions dashboard is designed to answer one question: what should I focus on today? It surfaces the contacts who need attention, the follow-ups that are due, and the natural reasons to reach out. This guide walks you through every section so you can make the most of it.

Accessing the Dashboard

Navigate to Network → Interactions to open the dashboard. You'll see two tabs at the top:

  • Overview - Your engagement summary and action items
  • Activities - The complete list of all logged interactions

The Overview Tab

The Overview tab is your relationship management home base. It's divided into several sections:

Contact Segmentation:

At the top, you'll see your contacts grouped by engagement level:

  • Warm - Contacts you've recently interacted with
  • Cold - Contacts without recent activity who may need re-engagement
  • Not Tracked - Contacts excluded from engagement monitoring

Click on any segment to see the contacts in that group. This helps you quickly identify who needs attention.

Check your cold contacts regularly. These are relationships at risk of going stale. A quick message or call can warm them up again.

Reasons to Connect:

This section surfaces natural opportunities to reach out:

  • Upcoming contact birthdays
  • Upcoming family member birthdays
  • Work anniversaries and other important dates

These touchpoints give you a genuine reason to connect without it feeling like a sales call. A simple birthday message can strengthen a relationship more than a dozen cold emails.

Recent Activities:

A feed of recently logged interactions across your network. This shows you:

  • What your team has been doing
  • Which contacts have recent engagement
  • The types of activities being logged

Upcoming Planned Activities:

Scheduled activities that haven't been completed yet. This section helps you:

  • See what follow-ups are coming up
  • Identify overdue activities that need attention
  • Plan your day around scheduled commitments
Overdue activities display a red badge showing how many days they're past due. Address these promptly to maintain trust with your contacts.

The Activities Tab

The Activities tab shows your complete interaction history. Use the filters to find what you need:

Year Filter:

Filter activities by year to review historical interactions or focus on the current period.

Status Filter:

  • All - Every activity regardless of status
  • Upcoming - Scheduled activities not yet completed
  • Overdue - Activities past their due date
  • Completed - Activities marked as done
Start your day by filtering for Overdue activities. Clear these first before moving on to upcoming tasks.

Reading the Activity List

Each activity in the list displays:

  • Type icon - Visual indicator of the activity type (call, email, meeting, etc.)
  • Title - The activity name or description
  • Contacts or Deal - Who or what the activity is linked to
  • Date - When the activity is scheduled or was completed
  • Team member - Who created or is responsible for the activity
  • Status indicator - Whether it's upcoming, overdue, or completed

Click on any activity to view its full details or make changes.

Using the Dashboard Effectively

Here's a suggested daily workflow:

  1. Check overdue activities - Filter by Overdue and address anything past due
  2. Review upcoming activities - See what's scheduled for today and this week
  3. Check Reasons to Connect - Send birthday wishes or anniversary messages
  4. Review cold contacts - Pick one or two to re-engage with a quick message
  5. Log any activities - Record calls, meetings, or emails from outside Officaid

This routine takes just a few minutes but keeps your relationships healthy and your follow-ups on track.

Frequently Asked Questions

Daily is ideal. A quick morning check helps you prioritize your day, catch overdue items, and spot opportunities to connect. It only takes a few minutes to review.

The dashboard shows activities across all contacts. To see activities for a specific person, open their contact profile and view the Activities tab there.

Reasons to Connect are based on birthdays and anniversaries. If you haven't added birthday information to your contacts or their family members, this section will be empty. Add birthdays to start seeing suggestions.
