Switching Calendar Views

Choose between month and list views in Officaid's Calendar for different planning needs.

The Right View for the Right Moment

Sometimes you want to see the big picture of an entire month. Other times you need a detailed list of what's coming up day by day. Officaid's Calendar offers multiple views to match different planning needs.

Available Views

The Calendar provides two main views:

  • Month view a traditional calendar grid showing the entire month
  • List view a chronological list of events grouped by date

Switching Views

View controls appear as icons on the right side of the Calendar navigation bar:

  • Calendar icon switches to month view
  • List icon switches to list view

Click the appropriate icon to change your view.

Month View

Month view displays a familiar calendar grid with:

  • Seven columns for days of the week
  • Rows representing each week of the month
  • Events displayed as colored bars within date cells
  • Today's date highlighted for quick reference

This view is ideal for getting an overview of the entire month at a glance. You can quickly spot busy days, identify patterns, and plan around clusters of events.

Use month view when you need to understand the shape of your schedule over a longer period.

List View

List view presents events in a vertical, chronological format:

  • Events grouped under date headers
  • Each event shows its title, status, and details
  • Expandable entries reveal more information
  • Easier to read detailed event information

This view is ideal for working through a detailed agenda. When you need to see exactly what's scheduled and review each item's details, list view provides more information without clicking into individual events.

Use list view when you're actively managing your schedule and need to see details at a glance.

Choosing the Right View

Consider these scenarios:

  • Planning next month's workload? Use month view for the big picture
  • Checking what's due this week? Use list view for detail
  • Looking for a free day? Use month view to spot gaps
  • Preparing for today's activities? Use list view to review details
Use month view at the start of planning, then switch to list view when you need to work through specific days.
