Stay Connected to Your Workforce

Managing a team means keeping track of headcount, payroll costs, and employee requests. The Team section of your Insights dashboard gives you a snapshot of your workforce so you can make informed decisions and respond to pending requests promptly.

Team Overview

The left panel shows your overall team composition:

  • Total employees the number of active team members
  • Total payroll the combined salary costs
  • Department breakdown employees and payroll by department

The department table lists each department with its headcount and payroll amount. This helps you understand how your workforce and costs are distributed across the organization.

Team Updates

The center panel displays recent team-related news and changes. This might include:

  • New employees who recently joined
  • Upcoming work anniversaries
  • Employee status changes

When there are no updates, the panel shows "No upcoming updates." This section keeps you informed about changes in your team without having to check the Directory manually.

Pending Team Requests

The right panel shows requests waiting for approval. Each request displays:

  • Employee name who submitted the request
  • Request type either Leave or Claim, shown as a colored label
  • Details specific information like leave type or claim amount
  • Date when the request was submitted or when the leave is scheduled

Leave requests show the leave type (such as Annual) and duration. Claim requests show the expense type and amount. Click on any request to navigate to the approval screen.

Acting on Pending Requests

Pending requests require action. When you see items in this panel:

  1. 1 Click on the request to open the approval screen
  2. 2 Review the details of the leave or claim
  3. 3 Approve or reject the request

Timely responses to requests help your team plan their time and manage their expenses. Leaving requests pending creates uncertainty for employees.

Understanding the Metrics

The payroll figures shown represent base salary costs by department. These numbers come from the salary information stored in each employee's profile in the Directory.

Employee counts include active employees only. Deactivated or terminated employees are not included in the totals.

What You Can Do from Team Insights

The Team section enables quick actions:

  • Click the total employees number to open the Directory
  • Click a department count to filter the Directory by that department
  • Click a pending request to approve or reject it

Frequently Asked Questions

The Team section appears only if you have access to the Team module. Contact your administrator in Admin → Access to request access.

The figures shown are base salary totals from employee profiles. They don't include allowances, deductions, CPF contributions, or other payroll adjustments. For detailed payroll data, use Team → Payroll.

Click on a pending request to navigate to the approval screen. From there, you can review the details and approve or reject the request.
