See Everything About a Task in One Place
While the task list gives you a quick overview, the Task Details page shows the complete picture. Here you'll find the full description, comments from collaborators, and a history of all changes made to the task.
Opening Task Details
To view full task details:
- 1 Navigate to Workspace → Tasks
- 2 Click on any task row in the list
The Task Details page opens, showing all information about the selected task.
Task Details Layout
The Task Details page is organized into clear sections:
- Task header showing the title and description
- Task metadata including priority, status, due date, and assignee
- Quick Actions panel for common operations
- Comments section for discussion
- Task Activity log showing the complete history
Task Information Panel
The main panel displays:
- Task Title prominently at the top
- Description the full context and instructions
- Priority displayed as a colored badge
- Status showing the current lifecycle stage
- Due Date when the task should be completed
- Assigned To who is responsible
- Created by who created the task and when
- Updated by who last modified the task and when
Quick Actions
The Quick Actions panel provides one-click access to common operations:
- Completed marks the task as done
- Edit opens the task for editing
- Delete removes the task permanently
These actions are also available from the task list, but the detail view gives you full context before taking action.
Comments Section
Below the task information, you'll find the Comments section. This is where team members discuss the task, ask questions, share updates, or provide feedback.
To add a comment:
- 1 Type your message in the "Add comment..." text box
- 2 Click Send to post the comment
Comments appear in chronological order with the commenter's name and timestamp.
Task Activity Log
The Task Activity panel shows a complete history of the task, including:
- When the task was created
- Status changes
- Edits to task details
- Comments added
- Reactions to comments
This log provides transparency into how the task has evolved, who made changes, and when.
Navigating Back
To return to the task list, click Tasks in the breadcrumb navigation at the top of the page, or click Workspace in the left sidebar and then Tasks.
Frequently Asked Questions
All users with access to the Tasks module can see comments on any task. Keep this in mind when posting sensitive information.
The activity log shows all changes to the task including creation, status updates, edits, comments, and reactions. Each entry includes who made the change and when.
Click Tasks in the breadcrumb at the top of the page, or navigate to Workspace → Tasks from the sidebar.
