Super Users Explained

Understand the Super User role in Officaid and what it means for account access.

The account owner with unrestricted access

A Super User in Officaid is the account holder with full, permanent access to every module. This role cannot be restricted, transferred, or removed, and it ensures there is always at least one person who can manage the entire account.

What Makes a Super User Different

Unlike regular team members whose access can be toggled between Allowed and No Access, a Super User's permissions are locked to Allowed across all modules. On the Access Rights page, their permissions appear greyed out to indicate they cannot be changed.

A Super User can:

  • Access every module in Officaid without restriction
  • Manage billing, subscriptions, and payment details
  • Control access rights for all other team members
  • View the audit log and company settings
  • Perform any action that a regular Admin user can, plus more

How the Super User is Assigned

The Super User is typically the person who created the Officaid account. This role is assigned automatically during account registration and is tied to the account owner.

Identifying the Super User

On the Admin → Access page, the Super User is identified by a Super User badge displayed next to their name. All their module permissions are greyed out and set to Allowed.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Super User role is tied to the account owner. If you need to transfer ownership of the account, contact Officaid support for assistance.

Each Officaid account has one Super User. However, you can grant Admin access to other team members so they can manage billing, access rights, and company settings. Go to Admin → Access and set their Admin column to Allowed.

Since the Super User has permanent access that cannot be removed from the Access Rights page, you should contact Officaid support to arrange an account ownership transfer before the person leaves.
