What are Access Rights

Learn how access rights in Officaid help you control what each team member can see and do.

Give the right people access to the right tools

Access rights determine which modules each team member can use in Officaid. By setting permissions at the module level, you can make sure everyone has the tools they need without exposing sensitive information to those who do not need it.

Why Access Rights Matter

As your team grows, not everyone needs access to every part of the platform. A sales executive may need the Network and Sales modules but not Finance. An HR manager may need Team but not Sales. Access rights let you tailor each person's experience to their role.

This keeps your data organized and secure while reducing clutter for team members who only work in specific areas.

How Access Rights Work in Officaid

Officaid uses a simple permission model. For each team member, every module is set to either Allowed or No Access. There are no complex role hierarchies or custom permission groups to manage.

The modules you can control access to are:

  • Network for contacts, companies, and interactions
  • Sales for pipeline, quotations, and items
  • Team for directory, payroll, leaves, and claims management
  • Me for the employee's personal dashboard, leave applications, and claim submissions
  • Finance for invoicing, expenses, accounts, and financial records
  • Reports for financial reports and business analytics
  • Admin for billing, access rights, company settings, and the audit log
Granting a team member Me access sends them an invitation email to create their Officaid account. This is typically the first access you grant when onboarding a new employee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Access rights in Officaid are set at the module level. You can grant or remove access to an entire module, but you cannot restrict access to specific features within a module.

The module will no longer appear in their sidebar, and they will not be able to navigate to it. Any data they previously created in that module remains intact and accessible to other users with the appropriate permissions.

Only users with Admin access can view and change access rights. To manage permissions, go to Admin → Access.
