Banks from around the world, ready to use
Officaid includes a comprehensive list of banks from countries around the world. When you select a bank from the dropdown, the bank code and Swift code are automatically filled in, saving you time and ensuring accuracy. If you do not find a specific bank in the list, you can also add your own.
Selecting a Bank
When creating a bank account in Officaid, the Bank dropdown gives you access to banks across different countries. Each bank comes with its bank code and Swift code pre-filled, so you do not need to look them up manually.
Adding a Custom Bank
If your bank is not in the dropdown, you can add it yourself:
- 1 Go to Finance → Accounts and click + Add New Account
- 2 Scroll down to the Bank dropdown
- 3 Click the + Add New button next to the dropdown
- 4 Fill in the bank details in the popup
- 5 Click Add Bank to save
Once added, the bank will appear in your Bank dropdown and can be selected for any future account.
Custom Bank Fields
When adding a custom bank, you will need to provide the following details:
- Bank Name - The official name of your bank (e.g., "HSBC Singapore")
- Bank Code - The local bank code used for domestic transfers. This varies by country.
- Swift Code - The international code used for overseas transfers (also called BIC)
- Country - The country where the bank is located
- Currency - The primary currency of the bank. This is for reference only and does not restrict the account currency.
Frequently Asked Questions
Custom banks cannot be edited directly. If you made a mistake, you can add a new bank with the correct details and use that for future accounts.
Yes, custom banks are shared across your Officaid account. Once added, any user in your company can select the bank when creating new accounts.
Officaid uses bank codes and Swift codes to generate bulk giro files for payroll payments. Without accurate codes, payment files may not process correctly. Make sure to enter the correct codes when adding a custom bank.
