Understanding Interactions

Discover how Officaid helps you track activities, monitor engagement, and stay connected with your network.

Your command center for relationship management

Interactions in Officaid is where relationship management comes together. It's not just a list of activities. It's a dashboard that shows you which contacts need attention, what follow-ups are due, and why you should reach out. Think of it as your daily guide to nurturing your business relationships.

What Are Interactions?

Interactions is a module within Officaid's Network section that helps you track and manage engagement with your contacts and companies. It brings together:

  • Activities - Calls, meetings, emails, meals, messages, and tasks
  • Relationship health - Warm, cold, and not tracked contact segments
  • Reasons to connect - Upcoming birthdays and opportunities for outreach
  • Direct communication - Send emails and WhatsApp messages from Officaid

While contacts and companies store who you work with, Interactions tracks what's happening in those relationships over time.

Accessing Interactions

Navigate to Network → Interactions to open the Interactions dashboard. You'll find two main tabs:

  • Overview - A summary of engagement health, reasons to connect, and recent activities
  • Activities - The complete list of all activities with filters

The Overview Tab

The Overview tab gives you a snapshot of your relationship management at a glance:

Contact Segmentation:

See how your contacts are distributed across engagement levels:

  • Warm - Contacts with recent activity
  • Cold - Contacts who need re-engagement
  • Not Tracked - Contacts excluded from engagement monitoring

Reasons to Connect:

Upcoming birthdays and anniversaries for your contacts and their family members. These natural touchpoints give you a reason to reach out and strengthen relationships.

Recent Activities:

A feed of recently logged interactions so you can see what's been happening across your network.

Upcoming Planned Activities:

Scheduled activities that haven't been completed yet, helping you stay on top of follow-ups and commitments.

The Activities Tab

The Activities tab shows your complete interaction history with powerful filtering options:

  • Year - Filter by a specific year to review past interactions
  • Status - Filter by All, Upcoming, Overdue, or Completed

Each activity displays:

  • Activity type and icon
  • Activity title and description
  • Linked contacts or deals
  • Date and assigned team member
  • Completion status

Activity Types

Officaid supports several activity types to categorize your interactions:

  • Call - Phone calls and voice conversations
  • Email - Email correspondence
  • Meeting - In-person or virtual meetings
  • Meal - Lunches, dinners, or coffee catch-ups
  • Message - Text messages, WhatsApp, or other messaging
  • Task - To-dos or action items
  • Other - Any interaction that doesn't fit the above categories
Each activity type has a distinct icon, making it easy to scan your activity list and identify interaction types at a glance.

How Activities Connect

Activities in Officaid don't exist in isolation. They connect to other parts of your business:

  • Contacts - Activities appear on contact profiles, building a relationship history
  • Companies - Activities linked to contacts roll up to their company profiles
  • Deals - Activities can be linked to deals, tracking sales-related interactions

This connected approach means you can log an activity once and see it reflected everywhere it's relevant.

Direct Communication

Officaid lets you communicate directly from contact profiles:

  • Send Email - Compose and send emails with a rich text editor
  • WhatsApp Message - Send WhatsApp messages using templates or custom text

When you use these features and mark the message as sent, Officaid automatically logs the interaction as an activity. This keeps your engagement history accurate without manual data entry.
