Tracking Goals and KPIs

Set and monitor employee goals and KPIs directly from their profile in Officaid.

Set objectives and track progress

Measuring employee performance starts with clear goals. Officaid lets HR managers and team leads create and track goals and KPIs directly from each employee's profile, making it easy to set expectations, monitor progress, and prepare for performance reviews.

Where to Find Goals and KPIs

The Goals and KPIs section appears on the Overview tab of every employee profile.

  1. 1 Navigate to Team from the left sidebar.
  2. 2 Click Directory from the submenu.
  3. 3 Click on the employee whose goals you want to view or manage.
  4. 4 Scroll to the Goals and KPIs section on the Overview tab.

What You Will See

The Goals and KPIs section displays a table with:

  • Goal name describing the objective.
  • Type categorizing the goal.
  • Progress shown as a percentage.
  • Status indicating whether the goal is Active or inactive.

Adding a Goal

  1. 1 Navigate to the employee's profile.
  2. 2 Scroll to the Goals and KPIs section.
  3. 3 Click the Add Goal button.
  4. 4 Enter the Goal name.
  5. 5 Select a Type from the dropdown (optional).
  6. 6 Set a Start Date and Due Date if the goal is time-bound (optional).
  7. 7 Enter a Target value if the goal is measurable (optional).

Goal Types

Officaid provides goal types to help you categorize objectives:

  • Performance for day-to-day job performance and productivity targets, such as response times, quality metrics, or output volume.
  • Project for specific deliverables with deadlines, such as completing a report, launching a feature, or finishing a client project.
  • Financial for revenue, cost, or budget-related targets, such as sales quotas, cost reductions, or profit margins.
  • Behavior for soft skills and workplace conduct goals, such as communication, teamwork, punctuality, or leadership development.
  • Other for goals that do not fit the above categories.
Selecting a goal type is optional, but categorizing goals makes it easier to review performance across different areas during evaluations.

Updating Progress

As employees work toward their goals, you can update progress to reflect their current status:

  1. 1 Click on the goal you want to update.
  2. 2 In the Progress (%) field, enter the current percentage complete.
  3. 3 The progress bar updates automatically to visualize the percentage.
  4. 4 Toggle the Active switch off if the goal is no longer being worked on.
  5. 5 Click Update Goal to save your changes.

Progress is displayed as a percentage with a visual bar, making it easy to see at a glance how close an employee is to achieving their goals.

Regular progress updates keep goals relevant and create a documented history of performance throughout the year, not just at review time.

Editing and Removing Goals

To edit a goal, click on it to open the Goal Details form. Update any fields as needed and click Update Goal to save.

To remove a goal, open the Goal Details form and click the Remove button. This permanently deletes the goal from the employee's profile.

Removing a goal cannot be undone. If a goal is no longer relevant but you want to keep it for records, consider setting it to inactive instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
