Navigating the Insights Dashboard

Learn how to interact with each section of Officaid's Insights dashboard to get the information you need.

Get Around Your Dashboard with Ease

The Insights dashboard is designed to be intuitive. Almost everything on the dashboard is interactive, and understanding how to click and explore will make your daily workflow more efficient.

Accessing the Dashboard

The Insights dashboard is your landing page when you log into Officaid. You can also access it anytime by clicking Workspace in the left sidebar. If you're deep in another module, clicking Workspace brings you back to your central command center.

Scrolling Through Sections

The dashboard is organized vertically. Scroll down to move through the different sections: alerts at the top, followed by Network, Sales, Team, and Finance. Each section is clearly labeled, making it easy to find the area you need.

Clicking Into Records

Most elements on the dashboard are clickable and take you directly to the relevant detail page:

  • Alert cards open the module showing the overdue or pending items
  • Contact names open the contact's profile page
  • Company names open the company's detail page
  • Deal activities open the deal's detail page
  • Pending requests (leaves, claims) navigate to the relevant approval screen

This direct navigation means you can go from seeing an issue to addressing it in a single click.

Interacting with Charts

The Finance section includes interactive charts. The Cash Flow Trend chart has two views you can toggle between:

  • Money In/Out shows a bar chart comparing income and expenses month by month
  • Cash Balance shows a line chart tracking your cumulative balance over time

Click the Money In/Out or Cash Balance buttons above the chart to switch views.

Using the Quick Actions Panel

On the right side of the dashboard, you'll find Quick Actions. These are shortcuts for creating common records without navigating to the full module:

  • Add New Expense creates an expense entry
  • Add New Invoice starts a new invoice
  • Add New Company adds a company to your Network
  • Add New Activity logs an interaction
  • Add New Task creates a task in the Tasks module

Click any Quick Action to open the relevant form in a slide-out panel. Fill in the details and save without leaving the dashboard.

Viewing Activity Panels

When you click on an activity, such as an upcoming network activity or deal activity, a slide-out panel appears on the right side of the screen. This panel shows the activity details including the type, date, and any remarks. You can update, delete, or mark the activity as done directly from this panel.

Navigating Away and Back

When you click into a record from the dashboard, you navigate to that record's detail page. To return to the dashboard, click Workspace in the left sidebar. Your dashboard will reload with any updated data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dashboard sections appear based on your access permissions. If you don't have access to a module, its corresponding section won't appear. Contact your administrator in Admin → Access to adjust your permissions.

Clicking on an alert card takes you to the relevant module with the overdue items displayed. From there, you can take action on each item individually.

Click Workspace in the left sidebar to return to the Insights dashboard at any time.
