Reviewing numbers to check

Numbers to check lists saved UENs, NRICs and postal codes that fail the Singapore checks, so you can open each record and correct a typo.

Numbers to Check: Catch the Typos in Saved Numbers

Officaid checks Singapore numbers as you type them, such as a UEN, an NRIC or FIN, or a postal code. Numbers saved before these checks may still hold a typo. Numbers to check lists every saved number that does not pass, so you can open the record and correct it.

Finding the Page

  • On Insights, the alert "The company UEN or postal code may have a typo" appears when a saved number fails. Click View to open the list.
  • Tabs narrow the list by area: All, then Employees, Company Profile, Vendors and Companies, each with its count.

Reading the List

Each row shows the Category, the Name of the record, the Field and What is wrong, with a short hint, for example "Wrong format" on a postal code, or "000000 and 999999 are not postal codes."

A number that is right as it is can stay. The list helps you spot typos; it does not change anything by itself.

Correcting a Company Postal Code

  1. 1 Open Numbers to check from the Insights alert.
  2. 2 Find the Company profile row and click Edit. My Company opens in edit mode.
  3. 3 Correct the Postal Code. A Singapore postal code is 6 digits.
  4. 4 Click Update Company Info.

If the number still fails, the form shows the same hint under the field and does not save until it is corrected. Once saved, the row leaves the list.

When every saved number passes, the page reads "Nothing to check: every saved number passes." and the Insights alert goes away.
