Set up your holiday calendar in seconds
Adding holidays one by one can be tedious, especially when setting up a new year or importing a regional holiday calendar. The import feature lets you upload an ICS file containing multiple holidays at once, populating your calendar instantly.
What is an ICS File?
ICS (iCalendar) is a standard file format for calendar data. Many government websites, calendar applications, and online resources provide public holiday calendars in ICS format. You can also export calendars from applications like Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar as ICS files.
How to Import Holidays
- 1 Navigate to Team → Leaves → Holidays.
- 2 Click the Import Holidays button in the top right corner.
- 3 In the Import Holidays dialog, click Select File.
- 4 Choose the ICS file from your computer.
- 5 Click Import to process the file.
The holidays from the file are added to your Holidays list. You can review, edit, or delete any imported holidays as needed.
Where to Find ICS Files
Public holiday calendars in ICS format are available from various sources:
- Government websites often publish official holiday calendars.
- Calendar applications let you export existing calendars as ICS files.
- Online resources provide downloadable regional holiday calendars.
After Importing
Once imported, review the holidays to ensure accuracy:
- Check that dates are correct, as some calendars may use different date formats.
- Verify holiday names match your preferred terminology.
- Remove any holidays that do not apply to your company.
- Add any company-specific holidays that were not in the file.
All imported holidays default to non-working days. If any should be treated as working days, edit them individually to toggle the Working Day setting.
Handling Duplicates
If you import a file that contains holidays already in your system, duplicates may be created. Review your holiday list after importing and remove any duplicate entries manually.

No. Importing adds new holidays to your existing list. It does not remove or replace holidays already configured. Review and clean up duplicates if needed after importing.
